Imagineear continues to grow, welcoming John Martin to lead the software team
Consolidating our growing software department, we are delighted to announce the appointment of John Martin, Lead Developer.
John spent 10 years teaching music technology before returning to programming, his previous passion. He brings a breadth of industry experience, having spent 15 years maintaining hardware, building websites, and creating a variety of other programs, including flight simulators for iPhone. John was previously Development Lead with the UK’s leading interactive app-based pub quiz, for whom he developed the current phone app from the ground up, completely modernising the platform.
In his spare time, John enjoys writing music as a singer/songwriter, playing a variety of instruments including guitar, piano, mandolin and bass and making indie computer games with friends. His crowning achievement was an augmented reality game developed with friends, which was featured by Apple at the launch of the iPhone XS.
‘I am greatly looking forward to the challenge at Imagineear’ says Martin. ‘It is an exciting opportunity to consolidate multiple software strands, and to helping to define the company’s software trajectory.’
