Built in 1779, Bodmin Jail is one of Cornwall’s most atmospheric – and supposedly haunted attractions. To date, Imagineear has produced two self-guided audio tours, bringing its chilling history to life while turning visitors’ phones into responsive, digital guides.

Visitors are encouraged to download the tours when purchasing tickets online, or by scanning  QR codes at the entrance on arrival.

Available in several languages, the History Tour takes visitors on a compelling journey through the building’s grim past. Along the way, they meet notable former inmates such as Sarah Polgrean, executed in 1820 for poisoning her husband, and the murderous Lightfoot Brothers – whose execution drew a crowd of 25,000.

Launched just in time for Halloween, the Paranormal Audio Trail is for fearless ghost hunters.
Guiding visitors around 27 spooky stops, the trail features stories of slamming doors, shuffling footsteps, and the ghostly touch of an invisible child’s hand.

Our narration and audio production were described as ‘a masterpiece of sound effects and music, elevating the tour to a spine-tingling paranormal experience.’

From the Naval Wing to the Hanging Pit, our branded digital interface ensures all on - screen content matches the Jail’s unique design theme.
