We’ve been working here since 2023, developing multilingual audio tours in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.
The tours are available on handheld devices or via a smartphone app, launched by scanning a QR code at the ticket desk.
They reveal some of the cathedral’s many architectural secrets and introduce visitors to characters from its past, including Alice Kyteler, accused of witchcraft in the 1400s, and the anchorites – hermits who lived a life of prayer in a small cell beside the altar.
In 2025, the cathedral received funding from the Heritage Council of Ireland to further improve accessibility and ensure more visitors can fully experience the site. With our strong commitment to inclusive storytelling, we were delighted to help.
We revisited the site, assessing the physical layout of the route, identifying potential visitor challenges, and considering the most effective ways to immerse diverse audiences in the cathedral’s fascinating story.
